Erin Dumitru is a potter based in Walthamstow, East London. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, she brings the colours and textures of that landscape into her glaze palette and surfaces.
Her practice centres on functional ceramics, with a particular focus on teapots and their companion pieces. She is drawn to the discipline of making teapots, where handle, lid, and spout balance in harmony. Once fired, these vessels transform into little creatures of their own and invite daily use.
